ABOUT IDEAS
IDEAS—Industrial Education in the Arts and Sciences—is the new new K–12 program from Midgard that will offer free technological, manufacturing and trade-oriented lesson plans, state-of-the-art videos and immersive gamification (along with print and other analog media) that seamlessly integrate with existing curricula to offer new and personalized learning experiences that will use AI-driven analytic tools to identify talent and skills early, and put students on an ideal customized track toward a skill, trade or college. Many students who go through the program will leave high school ready for vital jobs and secure careers.
The program launches with BRIGHT IDEAS, a comprehensive set of K–1 lesson plans, augmented by teacher’s guides and additional resources. Other grades and new content will continually be added.
The United States faces a critical talent gap in technology sectors, most notably semiconductors. Traditional workforce development pathways rely on post-secondary education and on-the-job training, which delays workforce entry and limits participation. IDEAS will reduce time-to-workforce, identify individual talents early and create a scalable talent pipeline for critical and emerging technology sectors.
